Yup.
It’s another one of those days. The awful ones that are so amazing, you’re hoping they’ll never go away.
I didn’t win the lottery or meet a celebrity or anything else equally extreme.
I slept in. I cleaned my room. I made tea. I opened my windows and let down my curtains, so the sheer, white sheets could blow freely in the breeze.
That kind of day.
*sigh*
Steven left early in the afternoon on Friday and once I was finished with my committments for the rest of the day, I did a LOT of homework. It felt so good to get that much done. Then I read out of Elizabeth Kostova’s “The Historian” and got thoroughly FREAKED OUT. Then I read out of the Bible (which calmed me quite a bit) and went to bed without setting the alarm. It was beautiful.
This morning I woke up late. NOT. My sleeping in brought me to 9:25 a.m. I decided my room was WAY TOO MESSY. So I cleaned it.
Okay, so it took about 3 hours and I’m very exhausted at the moment, but it was worth it.
I thank God from the deepest most bottomest parts of my heart for these blessings.
This needs a brief history. For a week I had a bad cold, then I had my wisdom tooth taken out and was on Vicodin until last Monday. It took me three of the worst days I have ever experienced to get over it. I prayed like crazy because my attitude was rank and my thoughts were equally so. I had bad dreams, horrible pain, even worse luck, more homework than I have ever had at one and I was hurting the people around me that I loved the most. I was deep in it.
But God brought me out. His steadfast love slowly drew me from the mire and held my hand as He navigated my recovery from the pit. I am now glowing with the gratitude and blessings he has been drenching me in. I feel more motivated than I have in weeks. Without the aid of Medication or by sucking the joy out of others to feed my misery.
Hmm… that reminds me of the book I’m reading. It’s about Drakulya. The true Dracula. He was a terrible aweful man. This book is fiction, but it is saturated with accuracy. I think that is what makes it so chillingly provocative to read.
OWW… burned my tongue on tea.
My penguin, Frankie, looks so awesome right now. lol.
The music I’m listening to is some of my favorite and the perfect compliment to my current mood. It’s the soundtrack to Pride and Prejudice. This song right now is called “The Secret Life of Daydreams” and I can tell you, it’s the perfect title. It’s an incredible piano piece.
I just made the cutest little WeeMee. Check it out. :)
I’m gonna go now. :) Love you all!!
